Wish List

Wish List

Always wanted to create a wish list.. so here it is:

I love this pendant, the heart shape is quirky and I love Chris's style of fonts and the way he put them together.

I'd say this was a matching ring, to the pendant.  I really want a new ring.

I love Swarovski!  I have one pair of earings from there, which were a gift.  A new store recently opened at Glasgow Fort and I love browsing there, the store is lush!!

I want not one but two Cath Kidston bags... although one is a laptop bag - I do have to measure my laptop to see if it will fit first though... so you're (yes you) are thinking of buying this item then wait until I've said the laptop will fit!

Oh well...I've got as much chance as nae chance of getting any of these, but hey a girl can dream right?

Lists

I like lists... To do lists, I want lists, gift lists, wish lists... any list... even shopping lists!

I'm off work next week (hurrah!) and not only do I have a list of things we have planned, I have a spread sheet!  That's quite sad I know but even when we're off work life is hectic!  So much to fit in.  It is very very rare that Husband and I are together so we like to plan some fun things to do and some chores that really need the two of us to tackle... Like clean out the garage! Grrrr!

Here's what I'd like to do next week: (wonder how many I'll get to do!?)

Swim,
Cycle,
Read,
Sew,
Design,
Photoshoot...

Weight Watchers

I've signed up for Weight Watchers online!  This is Day 3... so far so good!

I decided it was time to get a grip and do something about my weight.  I am a naturally slim person and didn't start to put weight on until around 2004, since then I've went from being a healthy weight to being 5 stone over weight... ouch!

McBump is doing brilliantly and is just about walking so I'm going to be run ragged very soon... can't wait! x

Grub Hub

Something new!!

I have just finished writing out my own recipe for the local paper 'The Wishaw Hub' and 'The Hub' - they have a new feature for 2012 which is called Grub Hub and will feature some quick and easy (sometimes healthy) recipes written by yours truly.

Here is the first one:

Pitta Bread Pizza with Potato Wedges (serves 2)
A quick and easy healthy meal which you can easily adapt to add your favourite toppings.

Ingredients

3 large potatoes
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon of dried mixed herbs
pinch of chilli powder
Salt and Pepper

2 pitta bread (wholemeal, white or herb)
2 tablespoons of BBQ ketchup or tomato ketchup
2 slice of wafer thin cold meat or cooked chicken (omit for vegetarian option)
slices of red onion (optional)
slices of tomato (optional)
3 heaped tablespoons of grated cheese
pinch of dried mixed herbs

Method

Pre-heat the oven to 180.

Cut the potatoes into wedges and place in a bowl, drizzle over the olive oil and add herbs and chilli powder.  Mix until the potatoes are coated.  Place on baking tray and season with salt and pepper.  Cook for 40 minutes, turning half way through cooking time.

Place the pitta bread on a baking tray and spread a tablespoon of BBQ or tomato ketchup over the top, sprinkle half the cheese over the pitta breads.  Add your chosen toppings then top with the rest of the cheese and sprinkle the dried herbs over the top.  Cook for 10 minutes.

Serve and enjoy!
